Under the Sea

My granddaughter turned 3 this weekend and I got to make the cake.  I got to play with a new medium, modeling chocolate!  It was so much fun and it tasted good too!

Princess Ariel and Prince Eric even stopped in to say hi and sing to the birthday girl!

Summer Sketches

The 3 hour flight each way to Houston got a little boring this summer. Here are a couple sketches I created of the grandkids plus a couple I never posted for some reason.
They could still use some work but I like their beginnings. It was a great way to kill time and stop the anxiety of flying I tend to have in its tracks.
These ones are of my son and my granddaughter that I did over the last couple years.

New Apron!

My new apron!  It definitely helps me stand out in the room. If eyes are drawn to the most colorful thing in the room then my little artists should be drawn to me. 😀

A prize earned and won.

While teaching 4th grade one year, I had an auction for my students who had earned Modderman Money. One lucky student won a portrait for Mother's Day. She brought me in a photo and had a pretty cool gift to give her mom.

Dinos for Hadley

When my granddaughter was born my daughter wanted dinosaurs in her room. She got them.

A gift for Mr. Smith

Mr. Smith was retiring. He read The Hobbit to his students every year with voices for every character.  I created this piece for him for fun. He loved it and has it hanging in his home.

Mother's Day portraits 2013

I created these portraits for my mom for Mother's Day. They are of me and my sisters and brother. They were fun to do and my mom seems to love them too.
