This is my favorite artist quote so far and I had a last bulletin board to fill. So here it is.

New Apron!
My new apron! It definitely helps me stand out in the room. If eyes are drawn to the most colorful thing in the room then my little artists should be drawn to me. 😀

My first project of the year!
This is the first project of the year for the 5th and 6th graders at Valley Crest. They will be creating this cute little book and 4 monster portraits. They will then bring one of those portraits to life as a plush critter we will be donating to a local children's hospital wing. I will post pictures of the kids creations when they are complete.

A prize earned and won.
While teaching 4th grade one year, I had an auction for my students who had earned Modderman Money. One lucky student won a portrait for Mother's Day. She brought me in a photo and had a pretty cool gift to give her mom.
A gift for Mr. Smith
Mr. Smith was retiring. He read The Hobbit to his students every year with voices for every character. I created this piece for him for fun. He loved it and has it hanging in his home.
Mother's Day portraits 2013
I created these portraits for my mom for Mother's Day. They are of me and my sisters and brother. They were fun to do and my mom seems to love them too.

2015/2016 Bulletin Boards at Beehive
My classroom discipline board. The letters in the word "ART" flip over with negative behavior. Each class will have a marker and when their class does not flip a letter, they roll a die and get to move that many spaces. They may land on special little rewards and if they get all the way around..."something good will happen!"
My posters repeating the things I say a lot anyway.
Elements and principles reference board.
Here is my Mini Masterpieces board where early finishers can post their index card sized art piece. Also on this wall is my Mystery Artist of the month board. This will be a contest where students will turn in their guess and one lucky correct winner will win something great!
